Services Offered
These are the services that we are able to offer
Acute Care
Treatment of sudden illnesses and injuries, including medication for urgent conditions. Examples include a bad flu, diarrhoea, a dog bite, an asthma flare, etc.
Children's Health
Paediatric care services including childhood illnesses, growth monitoring, and vaccinations (please alert me to order in advance).
Chronic Disease Management
Ongoing care for long-term conditions needing regular monitoring and blood tests, such as high blood pressure, diabetes (high sugar) and arthritis.
Counselling Services
Lifestyle and crisis counselling to support your mental wellbeing and help you through difficult times. Referral for psychotherapy when required.
Elderly Care
Care for older adults, focusing on maintaining quality of life and managing age-related health conditions.
Family Planning & Sexual Health
Comprehensive sexual health services and family planning consultations, including contraception options and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases.
First trimester antenatal care
Confirming pregnancy, first trimester scan (within the first three months of pregnancy), basic booking bloods, counselling and referral to further antenatal care for the next two trimesters.
HIV Care
HIV management including testing, counseling, initiation of treatment and ongoing support.
Mental Health Care
Support and treatment for mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and stress management.
Minor Procedures
Basic medical procedures that can be safely performed in a primary care setting, for example suturing of a wound or taking a skin biopsy.
Preventative Care & Screening
Regular health check-ups and screening services to detect potential health issues early and maintain wellbeing through prevention.
Referral Services
Coordinated referrals to specialists and hospitals, with options tailored to your budget including public and private healthcare pathways.
NOT Offered
These are the services that we are NOT able to offer
Comprehensive Antenatal Care
I can only offer pregnancy-related consultations during your first trimester (your first 12 weeks or three months). Thereafter I can refer you to a specialist or write a detailed referral letter to take to the hospital or your nearest clinic.
After hours emergency care
I do not offer after hours emergency care. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please proceed to your nearest emergency centre.
X-rays
We do not have X-rays on site. I can refer you to a radiologist in Mthatha or the district hospital down the road for X-rays when needed.
Emergency Care
If you have an immediately life-threatening emergency, you should rather call an ambulance or proceed immediately to your nearest emergency centre.
